It’s set to be another busy May bank holiday weekend at The New Forest. From food markets to two-day fairs, here’s a little taste of what will be on offer from Saturday 30th April to Monday 2nd May.
Sat 30th April:
Hampshire Farmers Market at Ringwood Town Centre:
Come along to the ever popular farmers market in Ringwood. Peruse the locally sourced New Forest produce including award winning meats, homemade cakes and apple juice from Hampshire vineyards.
Lymington Market at Lymington High Street:
The market in Lymington takes place every Saturday from 8am to 4pm (depending on weather!) The traditional English market has various different stalls selling plants, food, produce, household goods, bric-a-brac and crafts.
The New Forest Vegan Fair at Lyndhurst Community Centre:
Dorset Vegan and New Forest Vegans are excited to bring the first ever vegan fair to the New Forest. There will be 40 stalls on offer, all crammed with vegan friendly goodies. There will also be a vegan café with delicious vegan dishes.
Sun 1st May – Mon 2nd May:
Hampshire County Fair at Netley Marsh Showground:
Hampshire County Fair returns for another year at Netley Marsh Showground. Enjoy fantastic family fun such as water balls, puppet shows, bouncy castles and face painting.
There will be three arenas featuring daredevil stunts, country sports, sheepdogs and ducks, games on horseback and working gundogs.
Tickets cost £12 per adult, £4 per child and free for children under 5 years old. All shows are open from 10am until 6pm on both the 1st and 2nd of May.
Mon 2nd May
The Lions Club of Milton May Fayre:
Get stuck into the 14th century and enjoy live themed entertainment throughout the day. Combat displays recreate the pageantry and period sword skills that resemble a knights way of life.
Barbeque, refreshments, bar and the renowned Lions Club plant stall will also be available. The event is free to all and runs from 11am – 4pm.
